Human Sensory Neurons

Human Sensory Neurons
Sensory neurons are nerve cells responsible for transmitting sensory information from the external or internal environment to the central nervous system (CNS), such as the brain and spinal cord. They have specialized receptors to capture sensory stimuli, such as touch, temperature, pain, vision, hearing and balance, converting these stimuli into electrical signals to be processed by the CNS.

As for the process of creating this work, I started with a simple sketch to define the composition. Then I inserted all the negative spaces (black colors). This gave me control over deciding where the branches (axons) would emerge and walk. It is very satisfying to see them taking shape, just as occurs in the biological process.
